Tunisia and Saudi Arabia Expand Bilateral Cooperation with Multiple Agreements
Riyadh and Tunis sign a suite of memoranda of understanding and investment pacts to deepen economic ties across key sectors
Leaders from Tunisia and Saudi Arabia have underscored their commitment to strengthening economic partnership by signing a series of agreements designed to broaden cooperation across multiple sectors.
The memoranda of understanding, reached as part of ongoing bilateral dialogue, encompass strategic areas including water management, environmental protection, agricultural scientific research, climate and meteorological cooperation, tourism, industry, and employment.
The accords, formalised in the presence of senior officials from both governments, reflect a shared intention to stimulate investment, promote sustainable development, and enhance commercial and technical collaboration between the two states.
Alongside the MoUs, officials have discussed initiatives to encourage direct investment by facilitating regulatory alignment and information exchange aimed at improving the business environment for investors from both countries.
These developments reinforce decades-old ties and signal a mutual ambition to pursue joint ventures in sectors of comparative advantage, further solidifying economic relations beyond traditional trade volumes.
Saudi Arabia’s support for development projects, including substantial financing for rural infrastructure programmes in southern regions of Tunisia, highlights an expanding partnership with tangible impacts on community livelihoods and economic growth.
The agreements mark a notable phase in Tunisian-Saudi diplomatic and economic relations, setting a foundation for future collaboration and increased trade and investment flows between the two nations.
