Saudi Tadawul Group: A Fortunate Capital Markets Hub Amid Saudi Arabia's Rapidly Growing Industries

A senior executive from Saudi Tadawul Group, Nayef Al-Athel, expressed the company's fortunate position in the rapidly growing industries of Saudi Arabia.
At the Capital Market Forum 2024 in Hong Kong, Al-Athel emphasized Tadawul Group's goal of attracting global investors by sharing success stories at international forums.

He highlighted the dual nature of the group's objectives, focusing on commercial targets as a listed company and maximizing revenues.

Al-Athel emphasized the significant momentum in various industries and new sectors in Saudi Arabia, making it an advantageous position for Tadawul Group.

Al-Athel highlighted the allure of Saudi Arabia's Kingdom and its impact on the country's attractiveness as a capital market.

He emphasized Saudi Arabia's strategic position as a bridge between the East and West, which can be leveraged to connect capital markets.

Al-Athel also mentioned the success of the CMF Hong Kong conference in bringing East and West together.

He boasted about Tadawul Group's leading role in global capital markets, as evidenced by the previous CMF held in Riyadh.

The text is about the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) aiming to increase its market cap rankings by attracting more IPOs and capital market transactions, making it more appealing to international investors.

Tadawul has already established itself as an equity capital market leader in Saudi Arabia, with a notable number of IPOs in recent years.

The exchange is also planning to expand into debt capital markets and derivatives to diversify its offerings.

Al-Athel, the speaker, mentioned that there have been many IPOs in the Kingdom over the last few years but did not make any specific announcements.

The Capital Market Forum in Hong Kong is currently hosting 300 investors from 44 companies, marking the first cross-border event with participation from Saudi entities like the CMA and Ministry of Investment.

Al-Athel, who spoke at the event, highlighted the focus on international investment and the success stories of the 400 listed securities on Tadawul, with 22 Saudi corporates present to share their stories with Asian investors.

Al-Athel emphasized the major developments in Saudi Arabia's capital market, including the milestone of 400 listed securities and a broad investor base that reaches beyond Saudi Arabia to the region and globally.

He pointed out the growth in institutional investment and the increasing number of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) as indicators of a thriving market.
