Saudi Health Minister Inspects Makkah Facilities for Upcoming Hajj Season
Health Minister Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel reviewed facilities in Makkah to ensure high-quality services for pilgrims.
Saudi Arabia’s Health Minister, Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, recently concluded a two-day inspection of healthcare facilities in the holy city of Makkah.
The visit is part of the Kingdom's continuous efforts to enhance the provision of comprehensive and advanced medical services for Hajj pilgrims as aligned with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
According to an official press release, the assessment included visits to key locations in central Makkah, including notable hospitals such as Ajyad and Al-Jiwar, as well as the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques’ Command and Control Center.
Furthermore, the minister evaluated the preparedness levels of private ambulance service providers scheduled to operate during the Hajj period.
Additional facilities visited were King Faisal Hospital, Makkah General Hospital, King Abdulaziz Hospital, Al-Noor Specialist Hospital, and the state-of-the-art King Abdullah Medical City, which serves as one of the country's foremost centers for specialized medical care.
Throughout these inspections, AlJalajel scrutinized the operational preparedness of emergency and intensive care units, assessed contingency plans for managing critical cases, and examined the coordination mechanisms between healthcare services and ambulance operations.
The emphasis on rigorous assessments underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to providing secure and efficient health services during the Hajj season.
