Saudi Drilling Firm ADES Wins SR350M Jack-Up Rig Contract from TotalEnergies in Qatar with Optional Extensions
Saudi Arabian drilling firm ADES has announced that it has secured a contract worth SR350 million ($93.3 million) from French petroleum company TotalEnergies to operate a jack-up rig in Qatar.
The contract includes a mandatory and optional extension period of up to 18 months.
The project is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2024 and will utilize ADES' fleet of jack-up offshore drilling units.
This contract will allow ADES to maintain its market share in Qatar by operating three drilling rigs in the country.
The firm's Emerald Driller platform is anticipated to be relocated to Indonesia in the second half of 2024.
