Madinah Launches Emergency Scooter Service for Medical Assistance at the Prophet's Mosque
The initiative aims to improve medical response times during Ramadan amidst large crowds.
The Madinah Health Cluster has introduced an emergency scooter service at the Prophet’s Mosque to enhance the provision of medical assistance for visitors during the Ramadan season.
This initiative comes in response to the challenges faced by paramedics in navigating the crowded areas surrounding the mosque.
With thousands of worshippers present, the scooters are intended to facilitate quicker access for medical teams to attend to urgent health cases and transport patients to nearby medical facilities if necessary.
Since its rollout, the service has already aided 91 individuals who required medical attention, with referrals made to healthcare centers within the vicinity, including Al-Shifa Health Endowment, Haram Emergency Hospital, and the Safiyyah and Bab Jibreel Urgent Care Centers.
The launch of the scooter service underscores the commitment of the Madinah Health Cluster to ensuring the safety and well-being of visitors during this significant period.
