KSrelief Distributes Food Aid in Benin and Montenegro
Saudi Arabia's KSrelief provides 600 food baskets to vulnerable communities in West Africa and the Balkans.
On March 7, 2025, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) announced the distribution of 400 food baskets in Lokossa, Republic of Benin, aimed at providing assistance to vulnerable families.
This initiative benefitted approximately 2,400 individuals, highlighting ongoing humanitarian efforts within the region.
Concurrently, KSrelief also distributed 200 food baskets in the Tuzi area of Montenegro, aiding 1,000 individuals from similarly marginalized groups.
These distributions are part of KSrelief's broader Etaam food basket initiative, which is currently underway in its fourth phase.
This year's Etaam project plans to distribute a total of 390,100 food baskets across 27 countries during the month of Ramadan, with the aim of helping over 2.3 million individuals.
The estimated cost of this initiative exceeds SR67 million (approximately $17.9 million).
The Etaam project is designed to address food insecurity and provide support to the most vulnerable populations globally, demonstrating Saudi Arabia’s commitment to humanitarian aid.
