Saudi Arabia Launches Instant e-Visa Platform for Over 60 Countries
New digital gateway enables travel to the Kingdom with visa approvals in minutes and expanded flexibility
Saudi Arabia has unveiled a new “KSA Visa” e-platform that allows visitors from more than 60 countries to apply online and receive electronic visas in as little as one minute.
The system supports both single-entry visas valid for 90 days and multiple-entry visas valid for one year, with stays of up to 90 days per visit.
The rollout forms part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 agenda and aims to streamline travel for tourism, family visits, business, cultural events and Umrah (outside the Hajj season).
Fees are clearly listed online – for example a standard tourist e-Visa fee is set at around USD 80, with additional digital service and insurance charges.
Applicants can now complete the entire process online – from submission to payment – via the official portal.
Eligible travellers include nationals of the listed countries, as well as individuals who hold valid United States, United Kingdom or Schengen visas, or are permanent residents of those jurisdictions.
The initiative responds to previous bottlenecks and forms part of the broader opening of the Kingdom to visitors and investment.
While extensions of the visa are not yet available, the digital platform is a major step toward easier entry, as Saudi Arabia promotes its heritage sites, coastal resorts, and event calendar to a global audience.
Travellers are reminded to ensure their passports are valid, to follow health-insurance requirements and to apply only via the official e-Visa portal.
With the new platform now live, the Kingdom positions itself as a more accessible destination for short-stay travel, reinforcing its strategy to build tourism, cultural and business links worldwide.
