Makkah Deputy Governor Inspects Hajj Operations Readiness

Deputy governor reviews facilities and operational plans at King Abdulaziz International Airport.
JEDDAH: Makkah Deputy Governor Prince Saud bin Mishaal conducted a field inspection tour to assess the readiness of Hajj and Umrah operations.

His visit focused on reviewing the infrastructure and services available at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, a crucial hub for pilgrims during the Hajj season.During his inspection, Prince Saud was accompanied by key officials from Jeddah Airports Company, including Chairman Raed Al-Mudaiheem, CEO Mazen Johar, and representatives from security and operational departments.

The tour covered various aspects of airport operations, such as security checkpoints, inspection procedures, and the ongoing development project aimed at expanding capacity and enhancing service quality for pilgrims.Prince Saud also visited the airport's operations center where he received a detailed briefing on crowd management systems and technologies utilized to streamline the movement of pilgrims within the airport premises.

He paid special attention to electronic gate systems designed to expedite entry and exit procedures, as well as facilities for passport control and customs clearance aimed at ensuring a smooth journey for pilgrims.The Makkah Deputy Governor also took time to review waiting halls and service areas prepared specifically for the comfort of pilgrims before their transport to the sacred sites.

These amenities are essential in providing adequate rest and relaxation spaces for travelers, particularly during the demanding Hajj pilgrimage period.The field inspection concluded with a meeting of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah.

This session focused on reviewing operational plans and reinforcing coordination among relevant authorities to elevate service standards throughout the Hajj season.

The committee's discussions centered around improving overall efficiency and ensuring that all pilgrims receive a high-quality experience during their holy journey.
