KPMG and Microsoft Launch Center for Emerging Technologies to Accelerate Digital Transformation in Saudi Arabia
KPMG, a major audit, tax, and advisory firm, teamed up with Microsoft to launch the Center for Emerging Technologies in Riyadh on December 18, 2023.
This new initiative supports Saudi Arabian organizations in embracing digital transformation by providing insights into emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, Web 3.0, and quantum computing.
During the event, which attracted 150 thought leaders, including physicist Dr. Michio Kaku, the focus was on how such technologies are influencing Saudi Arabia's digital landscape.
The center aims to foster partnerships, share global knowledge, develop technology strategies, and guide businesses on integrating these innovations effectively.
Operating from KPMG’s Riyadh Insight Centre, the collaboration will offer tailored support to local organizations, from conceptualization to execution of technology adoption plans.
KPMG's Khalil Ibrahim Al Sedais emphasized the center's open approach to all businesses, while Microsoft Arabia's Turki Badhris highlighted the joint venture's commitment to empowering Saudi businesses through technological advancements.
Notably, this follows a July announcement of KPMG's multi-billion dollar investment in Microsoft's cloud and AI services, which is expected to generate over $12 billion in growth opportunities. The partnership will also aim to boost KPMG's client services and enhance the workplace with a focus on security and ethics.
