King Khalid Foundation Launches Green Grant to Foster Sustainable Jobs in Saudi Arabia
Nonprofits encouraged to apply for funding focused on green sectors and vocational training.
The King Khalid Foundation has opened applications for its fourth round of the Green Grant, aiming to empower nonprofit organizations across Saudi Arabia.
Applications will be accepted until August 9th, with the initiative supporting projects that equip low-income individuals with skills in various green sectors, thereby improving their livelihoods through sustainable employment opportunities.
This move aligns with Vision 2030's objectives of economic diversification and investment in green technologies, promoting sustainable development nationwide.
Eligible project areas include organic farming, ecotourism, recycling, energy efficiency, renewable energy, reforestation, and wildlife conservation.
The grant is designed to create jobs and provide income opportunities while reducing ecological impact.
Launched by Princess Nouf bint Mohammed in 2022, the program has expanded across Saudi Arabia with workshops on the green economy and emerging environmental careers.
For this cycle, only nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply, with varying grant amounts depending on project scale and feasibility.
Successful applicants will participate in workshops from August 18th to 24th, with recipients announced in October 2025.
