CEO of Royal Commission for AlUla Arrested for Corruption, Announces Nazaha
Amr AlMadani, CEO of the Royal Commission for AlUla, has been detained on corruption charges, according to a Nazaha official on Sunday. Charged with authority abuse and money laundering, AlMadani is accused of securing illicit contracts worth $55.1 million from the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy via a family-mediated deal. Despite entering public service, he retained partial ownership of National Talents Company and influenced the awarding of further contracts to it, totaling SR 1.3 million.
Additionally, AlMadani profited through a relative, Mohammed Al-Harbi, who confessed to funneling money from these dealings to him. AlMadani's accomplices, Saeed and Jamal, were also implicated and admitted to the scheme. Nazaha is moving forward with legal action and reasserts its dedication to combating any abuse of power for personal enrichment.
