British Man's Love for Saudi Culture: From Viral TikTok Videos to Learning Qassimi Arabic and Exploring Diriyah

John Bin London, a British man raised in the UAE, has gained a large following on TikTok for sharing his love of Arab culture and Saudi heritage.
He often posts videos of himself in traditional Saudi attire, teaching his coworkers about Saudi coffee and dates, and documenting his trips to the Kingdom.

Despite not having an Arabian background, London's immersion in the local culture as a child has led him to be mistaken for a Saudi national.

He grew up interacting with locals and learning Arabic through daily activities like lounging with Arabic coffee.

A man, who grew up with a passion for Arab culture despite not being able to speak Arabic fluently, immersed himself in the desert lifestyle among Bedouins in Saudi Arabia.

He taught himself Qassimi Arabic, a sub-dialect of Najdi Arabic, and became an expert.

He was deeply influenced by the Saudi people and their creativity, and saw great potential in the country's future due to its leadership and people.

The man expressed positivity towards Saudi hospitality and culture, stating that once you know Saudis, you don't see negative influences.

London, a Westerner, has deeply appreciated the influence of Saudi culture on his identity, education, and mannerisms.

He learned Arabic through friends, YouTube videos, and books, and even mastered the ancient Nabatean script.

London's thirst for knowledge led him to visit Saudi Arabia in 2022, where he was particularly drawn to Diriyah and the UNESCO World Heritage Site At-Turaif.

He had long dreamed of visiting these places and immersed himself in the local culture by getting his thobes tailored and drinking Arabic coffee.

London wishes Saudis could recognize the positive impact they have had on him and expresses pride in this connection.

The text is about a person named London who spends his day exploring Diriyah and At-Turaif in Saudi Arabia.

He is a supporter of Saudi fashion and coffee roasteries.

During an interview with Arab News, he wore a shirt from the Saudi streetwear brand Not Boring, which was showcased at Riyadh Fashion Week.

London expressed admiration for the intricate details and creativity in traditional Saudi clothing and jewelry.

Despite being based in the UK, he appreciates and promotes Saudi fashion.
