Security Forces Intensify Crackdown on Unauthorized Hajj Pilgrims
Authorities in Saudi Arabia have increased efforts to prevent unlicensed individuals from entering Makkah and the holy sites during the Hajj period.
Security forces in Saudi Arabia are continuing their efforts to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering or staying in Makkah and the holy sites.
The authorities have warned that those found violating these rules, as well as facilitators of such activities, will face legal consequences.In recent developments, the Makkah police have arrested 18 residents of Afghan and Pakistani nationality for allegedly forging residency permits, Nusuk cards, and Hajj wristbands.
This incident was reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The security patrols in Makkah also apprehended an Indonesian resident who was found promoting fraudulent Hajj services on social media and possessing forged Hajj cards.Furthermore, five Afghan residents were detained by Hajj security forces for violating Hajj rules after attempting to enter Makkah on foot through a desert area without the necessary permits.
Additionally, 10 individuals of Sudanese, Egyptian, and Yemeni nationality were taken into custody for attempting to stay in Makkah without valid permits.All the arrested individuals have been referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action, according to SPA.In response to these incidents, the General Directorate of Public Security has urged all citizens and residents to adhere to Hajj rules.
They have also requested that any violators be reported by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, Madinah, and the Eastern Province, or 999 in other parts of the Kingdom.In anticipation of the Hajj season, the Ministry of Interior has announced fines ranging from SR20,000 to SR100,000 for violations of Hajj rules.
The ministry has emphasized that obtaining a valid Hajj permit is mandatory and called upon citizens, residents, and visa holders to strictly follow Hajj guidelines in order to avoid legal penalties.The authorities have also stressed the importance of full compliance with Hajj rules and cooperation with relevant authorities to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims during this significant religious event.
