Saudi Ministry Launches Nusuk Wallet: The First International Digital Wallet for Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims
Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, inaugurated Nusuk Wallet, the world's first international digital wallet for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah collaborated with the Saudi National Bank (SNB AlAhli) to launch the digital wallet, which allows managing pilgrims' money and expenses using SNB AlAhli's banking infrastructure and its brand NEO.
Nusuk Wallet utilizes advanced technologies and encryption techniques for maximum security.
Ahmed Al-Maiman, the Digital Experience director at the ministry, mentioned that several local and international achievements have been accomplished with the launch of the digital wallet.
A new digital wallet and international bank card have been introduced for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, allowing them to manage their money during their stay in the holy cities.
This innovation is a significant leap in technical services, combining modern technology with user needs and integrating AI, encryption, biometric identity verification, API, and SDK.
It is the first open loop digital wallet embedded within an application globally, designed specifically for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
This development brings the goal of creating a successful Super-app for pilgrims closer to realization.
Dr. Saleh Al-Furaih, CEO of SNB AlAhli's Digital Ventures and Payments, highlighted that Nusuk Wallet adheres to the Saudi Central Bank's regulations, ensuring financial security and regulatory compliance.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is ready to collaborate with relevant parties to enhance the pilgrimage experience and welcomes new ideas and proposals from private sector entities.
