Saudi Film Nights Expands Globally: 20+ Saudi Films to Screen in Morocco, Australia, China, India, and Mexico
The Saudi Film Commission is hosting the second installment of its Saudi Cinema Nights series this month, which will showcase international films in five countries, an increase from last year's single-country itinerary.
This cultural event will feature over 20 Saudi-produced feature films and shorts.
The series will kick off in Morocco in April, followed by screenings in Australia, China, India, and Mexico, concluding in January 2023.
Alongside the film screenings, interactive discussion sessions will be held at each location, allowing filmmakers to engage with the audience and share insights about their works.
The objective is to promote a greater understanding and admiration for Saudi cinema on a global scale.
Abdullah Al-Qahtani, the CEO of the Film Commission, stated, "Saudi Film Nights represents our dedication to enriching cinema culture in the Kingdom and underscores the capacity of Saudi films to captivate international audiences." The inaugural Saudi Cinema Nights international screenings took place in Paris at the Institut du Monde Arabe last year.
