Saudi Arabia to Launch New Direct Flights to Al Najaf, Boosting Ties with Iraq
On Friday, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia announced the introduction of new direct flights between Dammam and Al Najaf, Iraq, effective June 1, 2024.
This development is in alignment with the Kingdom's national aviation strategy, which aims to boost capacity to over 330 million passengers annually and serve more than 250 destinations worldwide.
The new service will complement existing routes to Baghdad and Erbil, thereby strengthening the already close ties between Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
This expansion is a testament to the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing connectivity and fostering strong regional relationships.
By increasing the number of flights to Iraq, Saudi Arabia aims to facilitate travel and trade between the two countries, ultimately contributing to the growth and development of the region.
