Russian Forces Gain Control of Soloviove in Donetsk and Kotliarivka in Kharkiv Regions, According to Reports
On Monday, the Russian military reportedly seized control of the settlements of Soloviove in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region and Kotliarivka in the Kharkiv region.
However, Ukraine's military did not mention these localities in their evening General Staff report.
Instead, Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov confirmed that Kotliarivka, situated near the town of Kupiansk, had been subjected to Russian shelling.
Ukrainian bloggers on DeepState, a popular forum discussing the war, had previously reported that Kotliarivka and the neighboring village of Kyslivka were under Russian control.
Additionally, DeepState noted that Soloviove, located northwest of the Russian-held town of Avdiivka, had been taken by Russian forces last week.
Russia has been making incremental gains in the region since capturing Avdiivka in February, with several villages in the area falling under Moscow's control.
