Saudi Aid Agency Delivers Food to Thousands in Crisis Regions
KSrelief's latest humanitarian operations provide critical support to vulnerable populations in Gaza, Syria, and Yemen.
Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's aid agency, KSrelief, has recently concluded a series of significant humanitarian operations aimed at delivering essential food supplies to tens of thousands of individuals affected by ongoing crises across three countries.
In the latest round of assistance, KSrelief's mobile kitchens served 25,000 hot meals in central and southern Gaza, addressing the immediate nutritional needs of thousands of vulnerable families residing in these areas.
Furthermore, the agency distributed 1,126 food baskets to Khan Younis, benefiting a total population of 6,756 Palestinians impacted by the ongoing conflict.
In addition to its efforts within Palestine, KSrelief extended its support to Syria by distributing 800 food baskets and providing 500 blankets to vulnerable groups in Rif Dimashq and Deir ez-Zor respectively.
This aid was instrumental in alleviating the hardships faced by numerous families in these regions.
The agency's reach also extended to Yemen's Marib governorate where KSrelief delivered 5,040 food baskets as part of the second phase of its emergency food response project.
The operation aimed at bolstering the resilience and food security of vulnerable families in the region.
Marib Deputy Governor Abd-Rabbu Miftah commended Saudi Arabia's efforts through KSrelief, emphasizing the critical role these initiatives play in supporting food security, alleviating suffering, and addressing the needs of displaced populations and host communities alike.
Since its inception in 2015, KSrelief has partnered with nearly 349 organizations to implement over 4,260 projects spanning 113 countries.
These programs have a combined value exceeding $8.4 billion and encompass various sectors including food security, water, sanitation and hygiene, health services, camp coordination, education, protection, and emergency relief efforts.
