Korean Embassy Showcases 'Soul of Korea' Art Exhibition in Riyadh
The Korean Embassy in Riyadh is presenting an art exhibition called "Soul of Korea" at the Ahlam Gallery. Focused on Cho Miyoung's works, the "Oasis/Minhwa Exhibition" showcases Korean paintings that aim to cultivate peace and cultural understanding.
According to South Korean Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Park Joon-yong, cultural exchanges bolster ties and have expanded into other areas of collaboration. The current display of Korean folk paintings follows last year's exhibitions on video and ceramic arts. This year's theme was chosen for its resonance with the Korean people.
The opening attracted a multicultural audience, with Cho Miyoung explaining that her art, based on the Korean "minhwa" tradition, is intended to highlight nature's healing qualities and cultural parallels between Korea and Saudi Arabia.
The exhibition, offering a space for cultural appreciation and featuring wellness activities, will be open to visitors until December 14.
