Israel PM Orders Military Strikes After Alleged Truce Violations by Hezbollah
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the military to target and strike Hezbollah in response to reported ceasefire violations, according to his office.
Jerusalem: In response to what the Israeli military has described as a series of ceasefire violations, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has directed forces to conduct strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
This order came after the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) claimed that the Iran-backed group had violated an extended ceasefire agreement.According to multiple statements from the Israeli military, operations were carried out to eliminate what they described as more than 15 terrorists in southern Lebanon.
Additionally, the military reported that three individuals were driving a vehicle equipped with weapons when targeted.
The IDF also accused Hezbollah of deploying explosive drones towards their troops in the Qantara area, though these did not result in any casualties.Furthermore, Israeli forces discovered an anti-tank missile cache at a Hezbollah weapons storage facility and unearthed an underground shaft containing Kalashnikov rifles.
These findings suggest ongoing military activity by Hezbollah despite the ceasefire agreement. The situation remains tense as Israel escalates its response to perceived violations, with ongoing operations targeting what is considered a significant threat from Hezbollah's presence in Lebanon.
