Haramain Affairs Calls on Worshippers to Avoid Overcrowding and Rushing
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has called upon the pilgrims performing Tawaf around the sacred Kaaba to invoke God in tranquility without raising their voices, to respect the sanctity and status of the Kaaba, and to observe the etiquettes of the Grand Mosque.
They are encouraged to avoid any inappropriate behavior and to maintain order and organization during Tawaf, while also preventing overcrowding and jostling, and preserving peace and quietude during the ritual.
The Presidency also indicated that pilgrims might be able to kiss the Black Stone during less crowded times, if possible. Furthermore, the two Rak'ahs (units of prayer) that follow the Tawaf can be performed anywhere within the Grand Mosque. Everyone is urged to avoid actions that could endanger others, such as rushing, and to refrain from engaging in photography, dedicating their full attention to worship.
The Presidency stressed that pilgrims should adhere to the correct performance of the rituals and that they should direct any queries to the Fatwa offices located around the Haram. Attention was drawn to the importance of cooperating with the staff in the Mataf area (the circumambulation area around the Kaaba), who are dedicated to serving and ensuring the safety of the pilgrims. Compliance with their instructions contributes to the safety and comfort of the visitors and pilgrims at the Grand Mosque.
