Monsha’at, Swedish Trade and Investment Council Collaborate on Entrepreneurship Education
Agreement aims to connect Saudi companies with Swedish business incubators, develop training programs.
Riyadh: The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Swedish Trade and Investment Council during the Biban 2025 Forum.
This agreement targets to link Saudi companies seeking international growth with Swedish business incubators and accelerators, as well as to establish training programs for academic leaders in entrepreneurship education.
The MoU seeks to utilize Sweden’s expertise in simulation-based educational methods within entrepreneurship curricula.
The pact was formalized by Saud Al-Subaie, Monsha’at’s deputy governor for Entrepreneurship, and Nebe Al-Mayahi, the Swedish Trade and Investment Council’s trade commissioner and head in Saudi Arabia, with the attendance of Petra Menander, Sweden's ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
This collaboration underscores Monshaat’s dedication to adopting global best practices in supporting entrepreneurship.
It aims to cultivate an educational environment conducive to innovation and leadership, aligned with Vision 2030, which envisions a knowledge-based economy that empowers small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Biban 2025 Forum took place from November 5th to 8th at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Convention Center.
The event's theme was 'A Global Destination for Opportunities,' attracting international and local participants.
Agreements worth over SR22 billion (approximately $5.87 billion) were signed, positioning the forum as a key platform for entrepreneurial opportunities worldwide.
