Saudi Arabia to Host First-Ever International WrestleMania in 2027

WWE’s flagship event “WrestleMania 43” to take place in Riyadh, marking the first time it will be held outside North America
WWE has announced that its marquee annual show, WrestleMania 43, is set for 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia—making it the first time the event will be staged outside of North America.

The revelation, made by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque alongside Saudi entertainment officials and top wrestling stars, signals a bold expansion of the brand’s global reach.

The event will form part of the Kingdom’s Riyadh Season entertainment calendar and reflects a decade-long strategic partnership between WWE and Saudi Arabia that began in 2018. The capital was chosen over other major contenders such as London and Paris, underlining the Kingdom’s growing role as a host of high-profile international sports and entertainment events.

Triple H said the move represents a momentous opportunity: “We deeply respect the legacy of WrestleMania and the global prestige it holds … As part of Riyadh Season in 2027, our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania unlike anything the world has ever seen.” Riyadh’s General Entertainment Authority also praised the announcement, stating their ambition to host the world’s wrestling fans and deliver a landmark spectacle.

While the full venue, dates and card are yet to be confirmed, the decision marks the end of a four-decade tradition wherein WrestleMania was confined to the United States and Canada.

The Kingdom is already confirmed to host the WWE Royal Rumble event in January 2026, setting a precedent for the full WrestleMania weekend.

The landmark decision comes amid Saudi Arabia’s wider efforts to position itself as a global destination for major events, aligning with its Vision 2030 economic and cultural ambitions.

By hosting WrestleMania 43, the Kingdom adds one of entertainment’s biggest spectacles to its portfolio and signals its readiness to engage with worldwide fanbases and international sports entertainment partners.
