A delegation from the UN’s humanitarian office has praised Saudi Arabia’s operations in Gaza after visiting projects run by the Kingdom’s aid agency, KSrelief.

The visit came as living conditions continue to deteriorate amid the ongoing conflict, with relief groups warning of worsening shortages of food, clean water, and basic services. The delegation from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) toured KSrelief’s facilities and aid distribution sites across the enclave.

They commended the scale and diversity of the Saudi-funded operations, as well as the efficiency of relief delivery mechanisms targeting displaced and vulnerable Palestinians.During their visit, the officials observed food preparation, packaging, and distribution processes at KSrelief’s central kitchen in Gaza.

The kitchen prepares around 25,000 hot meals daily for families living in displacement camps.

The delegation also visited food basket distribution points where aid workers oversee deliveries to families across different parts of the territory.KSrelief has expanded its humanitarian operations in Gaza over the past year through various initiatives, including food assistance, emergency relief, and water infrastructure projects.

In October 2025, KSrelief inaugurated the first phase of a desalination initiative designed to provide clean drinking water to about 300,000 people in Khan Younis and central Gaza.

Representatives from several UN agencies attended the launch of the desalination project, praising its contribution to improving water and sanitation services in the enclave. The latest OCHA visit highlighted growing coordination between Saudi aid agencies and international humanitarian organizations working in Gaza.

This collaboration aims to address the pressing needs of Palestinians affected by the ongoing conflict.
