Established in 2019, SDAIA has played a crucial role in building a world-class AI ecosystem, fostering collaboration between government and private sector entities.

The key aspects of SDAIA's journey include strategic collaborations, particularly its partnership with Accenture, which has paved the way for a data- and AI-driven economy. They have worked on strategies, regulatory frameworks, and a national digital infrastructure.

Recognizing the significance of talent development, SDAIA, in collaboration with leading international academic institutions, has initiated training programs and scholarships. These efforts have resulted in the training of over 45,000 professionals to enhance their data and AI skills, with plans to train more than 25,000 women in the next five years.

In just five years, SDAIA has transformed Saudi Arabia into a globally competitive, data- and AI-driven economy. The establishment of the National Data Bank, connected to numerous government systems, has facilitated the creation of Estishraf, an insights and analytics platform benefiting numerous government entities and generating an estimated SR50 billion in value in 2023 alone.

Accenture's CEO and Chairman, Julie Sweet, praised SDAIA's comprehensive approach, describing it as an exemplary model for governments worldwide. This success story underscores the importance of visionary leadership, strong collaboration, and a supportive ecosystem in driving national transformation through data and AI.
