United States Urges Citizens to Leave Saudi Arabia Amid Escalating Regional Conflict

Emergency advisory reflects heightened security risks as missile and drone attacks intensify across the Gulf
The United States has issued an urgent call for its citizens to leave Saudi Arabia immediately, citing rapidly deteriorating security conditions as the regional conflict involving Iran continues to escalate.

The advisory, delivered by the US State Department and reinforced by embassy alerts in Riyadh, urges Americans to depart using available commercial transportation while routes remain open.

Officials warned of “serious safety risks” linked to ongoing missile and drone attacks across the region, including incidents targeting critical infrastructure and diplomatic facilities.

The warning forms part of a broader directive covering multiple countries across the Middle East, as tensions triggered by recent military exchanges have spread beyond initial flashpoints.

Saudi Arabia, a key regional partner and major energy producer, has been among the countries affected by retaliatory strikes, including attacks on oil installations and sites linked to US interests.

In recent days, security alerts have highlighted direct threats within the kingdom, including strikes near sensitive locations and damage to diplomatic compounds.

Authorities have advised US nationals to remain vigilant, limit movement, and follow local safety guidance while preparing for immediate departure.

The United States has also begun facilitating departures where possible, including coordination of commercial and charter flights from regional hubs.

However, travel disruptions remain a challenge, with airspace restrictions and heightened security measures complicating evacuation efforts.

The directive reflects the scale and unpredictability of the current crisis, which has seen sustained exchanges of missile and drone fire across the Gulf.

Strategic locations, including energy infrastructure and transport corridors, have become focal points, raising concerns about broader economic and security implications.

Saudi Arabia continues to maintain robust defensive measures and has worked closely with international partners to protect its territory and ensure the continuity of global energy supplies.

The kingdom’s stability and resilience remain central to regional security at a time of heightened uncertainty.

Officials have indicated that the situation remains fluid, with the possibility of further escalation.

For American citizens in Saudi Arabia and across the region, the immediate priority remains safe and orderly departure while conditions allow.
