Saudi Students Fatima Buali and Retaj Al-Saleh Win Bronze and Honorable Mention at 2024 European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad
Two exceptional Saudi students, Fatima Buali from Al-Ahsa City and Retaj Al-Saleh from the Eastern Region, showcased their impressive mathematical skills and dedication at the 2024 European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) held in Georgia.
Fatima Buali earned a bronze medal in this prestigious competition, while Retaj Al-Saleh received an honorable mention for her outstanding performance.
Their achievements were the result of rigorous selection and intensive training provided by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
The EGMO attracted 212 talented students from 54 countries, underscoring the global significance of the event.
Saudi Arabia's consistent participation in the EGMO has yielded significant results, with a total of two gold medals, six silver medals, thirteen bronze medals, and seven honorable mentions over the past 12 years.
