Saudi Authorities Foil Amphetamines Smuggling Attempt at King Abdulaziz Port
Over 2.7 million amphetamine pills were concealed in a printing paper shipment, leading to the arrest of several individuals across Riyadh, Al-Jouf, and Eastern regions.
Dammam: The General Directorate of Narcotics Control, in collaboration with the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority, successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a substantial quantity of amphetamines through King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.
The seizure involved 2,733,648 amphetamine pills hidden within a shipment intended to appear as printing paper.
Following this operation, the security forces apprehended several individuals across different regions of Saudi Arabia.
Those arrested included two displaced persons and three Saudi nationals, highlighting the widespread nature of the smuggling network.
Authorities have called upon the public to assist in combating drug trafficking by reporting any suspicious activities.
