NEOM CEO Expects 200,000 Workers by 2025 on Giga City Site, Currently 140,000
NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr spoke at the GREAT FUTURES initiative conference in Riyadh on Tuesday, sharing that approximately 140,000 workers are currently engaged in various projects at the NEOM giga city site, working around the clock.
Al-Nasr anticipates this number to increase to 200,000 by the year 2025.
He added that NEOM currently employs around 5,000 full-time staff members from over 100 countries.
During a session on major projects in Saudi Arabia and their contribution to the goals of Vision 2030, Al-Nasr emphasized the business opportunities NEOM presents for both local and international partners.
The heads of Qiddiya, Diriyah, Red Sea, and NEOM projects were also present at the session.
Al-Nasr's speech highlighted the significant progress being made on the NEOM project, which is one of several major initiatives aimed at diversifying the Saudi Arabian economy and realizing the objectives of Vision 2030.
The Vision 2030 plan, launched by the Saudi government in 2016, focuses on social, economic, and industrial development, with the goal of reducing the kingdom's dependence on oil exports.
