The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Indonesia, Turkey, and Pakistan have collectively condemned the repeated violation of legal status quo at Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem by Israeli authorities.

The statement issued emphasizes that these actions constitute violations of international law, serve as an affront to Muslims globally, and desecrate the sanctity of the city.

The ministers assert their rejection of any alterations to the historical and legal status quo, acknowledging the significance of the Hashemite custodianship over these sites.

They affirm that Al-Aqsa Mosque compound is exclusive to Muslim worship and falls under the jurisdiction of the Jerusalem Endowments and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department linked with Jordan's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

The condemnation extends to Israel's settlement expansion, settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, and Israeli sovereignty claims over Palestinian territories.

The ministers call for international community action to enforce legal responsibilities and promote peace efforts based on a two-state solution.
