Israel Alerts of Northern Conflict Amid Hezbollah Escalation
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the conflict's 'centre of gravity' is moving northward due to increased Hezbollah activity. He assured that northern settlers will return to their homes. This follows a string of explosions in Lebanon that have caused significant casualties and heightened tensions.
In a recent announcement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that the 'centre of gravity' in the Middle East conflict is shifting northward due to an escalation in Hezbollah activity.
Netanyahu promised that settlers in the northern region will eventually 'return to their homes in security.' This statement follows a series of explosive incidents in Lebanon involving pagers and hand-held walkie-talkies, linked to Hezbollah.
Over the past few days, these blasts have resulted in the deaths of 21 people and injuries to over 3,300.
Israel's Defence Minister Yoav Gallant noted that forces are being redirected to the northern border, indicating a strategic shift in Israel's military focus.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has also cautioned against any further escalation of the war in the Middle East.
