stc Group and Ericsson Agree Five-Year Pact to Boost Saudi Arabia’s Digital Infrastructure
New long-term master frame agreement will accelerate 5G expansion, cloud-native technologies and future-ready network capabilities across the Kingdom
stc Group, Saudi Arabia’s leading digital enabler, has signed a five-year Master Frame Agreement with Ericsson to accelerate the development of advanced digital infrastructure and support the Kingdom’s technology transformation ambitions.
The agreement strengthens a long-standing partnership and will see stc leverage Ericsson’s latest 5G hardware and software, cloud-native platforms, managed services and comprehensive network support to expand domestic connectivity and enterprise digital services.
Under the agreement, stc will expedite rollout of next-generation technologies including 5G Standalone and 5G Advanced, Massive MIMO radio systems and enhanced network management solutions that are designed to improve spectrum efficiency and coverage.
The expanded collaboration also encompasses Ericsson’s advanced managed services to help optimise performance and scalability of stc’s infrastructure as demand for high-speed mobile and digital applications grows across both consumer and business segments in Saudi Arabia.
stc executives described the pact as a milestone that aligns tightly with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy through digital innovation and communications leadership.
The agreement will also support long-term ambitions beyond 5G, positioning stc for eventual adoption of future technologies including 6G-ready architectures and self-optimising networks.
Ericsson’s vice-president in Saudi Arabia affirmed the shared commitment to driving technology adoption and expanding digital inclusion as part of the Kingdom’s broader economic competitiveness goals.
The new master frame agreement builds on earlier strategic collaborations between the two companies, reflecting more than five decades of cooperation in telecommunications across the region, and underscores the importance of global partnerships in reshaping national digital infrastructure and supporting sustained innovation and investment in the Saudi Arabia.
