Saudi Arabia's Assistant Minister of Defense Holds Talks with Pakistani Military Leaders on Defense Cooperation and Vision 2030
During an official visit to Islamabad on Friday, Saudi Arabia's Assistant Minister of Defense, Talal Al-Otaibi, held discussions with senior officials from the Pakistan Army to review and strengthen the relations between the two countries.
Al-Otaibi met with several high-ranking military officials, including Gen. Syed Asim Munir, the Commander of the Army, Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Gen. Muhammad Avais Dastgir, the Chief of the General Staff.
The Saudi-Pakistani Committee, which focuses on defense cooperation between the two nations, also convened during Al-Otaibi's visit.
The committee members discussed various aspects of collaboration in the field of defense, with a particular emphasis on research and development, and the transfer and localization of technology.
This alignment with the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 development and diversification plan aims to foster growth and innovation in the defense sector for both countries.
