Prince Badr's Italian Visit: Enhancing Cultural Exchange between Saudi Arabia and Italy at the Venice Biennale
Prince Badr bin Abdullah, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Culture and Governor of the Royal Commission for AlUla, recently visited Italy to boost cultural exchange between the two countries.
He met with Italian cultural leaders and discussed ongoing and future collaborations under their cultural memorandum of understanding.
The minister also checked out the Saudi pavilion at the Venice Biennale and the "Journeys in Land Art" exhibition.
He and his Italian counterpart, Gennaro Sangiuliano, reviewed various cultural initiatives and projects in fields like heritage, fashion, music, museums, architecture, design, and visual arts.
Prince Badr attended the 2024 Venice Biennale of Arts and visited the Saudi pavilion showcasing "Shifting Sands: A Battle Song" by Manal AlDowayan.
This artwork focuses on the evolving roles of Saudi women in public life and their efforts to redefine their physical space and narratives.
The biennale runs until November 24, marking Saudi Arabia's continued participation since 2021, reflecting their commitment to international cultural exchange as part of Vision 2030.
