OIC Condemns Israeli Actions at 37th Islamic Committee of the International Crescent Session in Amman
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) participated in the 37th session of the Islamic Committee of the International Crescent, which was held virtually in Amman, Jordan.
OIC's Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural and Social Affairs, Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakheet, expressed concern over Israel's escalating acts of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, which he said were in violation of international law, human values, and divine laws.
He also criticized Israel for obstructing the delivery of aid to the region.
Bakheet called for collective action among Red Crescent societies in the Muslim world to mitigate the impact of the crisis in Gaza.
A session was held by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) amidst the serious humanitarian challenges faced by the Muslim world due to natural disasters and conflicts.
OIC's representative, Bakheet, emphasized the need for effective efforts to alleviate these issues.
He thanked Jordan for hosting the session and expressed gratitude to all those involved in its success.
The session will continue until Wednesday, with the Islamic Committee of the International Crescent presenting their activities.
