Doubts About Neuer's Participation in Bayern Munich's Match Against Dortmund
Uncertainty surrounds the participation of Manuel Neuer, Bayern Munich's goalkeeper, in the upcoming Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund.
Neuer has not returned to team training sessions and underwent an individual training session last Thursday instead.
Neuer suffered a muscle fiber tear while on duty with the German national team, causing him to miss friendly matches against France and the Netherlands.
Should Neuer be unfit for the Saturday match, it is expected that backup goalkeeper Sven Ulreich will take his place.
Additionally, the duo Alexander Pavlovich and defender Raphael Guerreiro were absent from training due to illness and injury, respectively.
However, Bundesliga's top scorer, Harry Kane, participated in team training and is expected to play against Dortmund despite suffering from an ankle injury that had sidelined him from matches against Brazil and Belgium with his national team.
Kane has previously scored a hat-trick in the first round match in Dortmund, which has lost the last nine matches in Munich and has not won there since 2018.
Contrary to previous seasons, the match known as "Der Klassiker" will not be a battle for the top of the table. Bayern Munich is currently in second place, ten points behind the leader Bayer Leverkusen, which has not lost any match this season, while Dortmund is in fourth place.
