INTRA Defense Technologies inaugurates drone factory in Riyadh
INTRA Defense Technologies has opened a new drone manufacturing facility in Riyadh, supported by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), to meet the increasing demand for drones.
As a milestone for the nation, this factory marks an important step in the domestic production of drone technology.
The company, with GAMI’s authorization, has begun producing drones, including the ASEF series, at the site. The factory boasts a yearly production capability of 120 aircraft and is a significant advancement for both the Kingdom and the broader Middle East region.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and high production standards, the INTRA facility is adept at fabricating various drone sizes and integrating diverse systems and payloads, enhancing their utility in both military and civilian applications.
The facility stands apart for its design and manufacturing capacity, capable of producing aircraft frames up to 25 meters in length.
INTRA's commitment to technological innovation and superior drone production is evident in the factory’s establishment. GAMI’s support has been crucial, enabling the company to commence operations in January 2024, expand production capacities, and develop the engineering team’s technical know-how.
As a result, INTRA is poised to enhance product competitiveness, advance defense technology, and improve integrated production, which reinforces its prominence in the drone market globally.
