MOAN Participates in the 2024 Environmental Week Exhibition
The National Center for Waste Management (MOAN) is participating in the "Environmental Week 2024" exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture under the slogan "Do You Know Your Environment?" The event aims to spread community environmental awareness and achieve environmental sustainability.
The exhibition kicks off on April 28 and concludes on May 4, 2024.
Environmental Week showcases the continuous efforts made by the Kingdom to elevate the level of community responsibility among all societal groups. The exhibition plays an active role in encouraging adherence to proper behaviors towards the environment. It also disseminates knowledge about major environmental issues and the methods to face and deal with them.
MOAN’s pavilion includes several educational corners featuring a variety of interactive activities. These activities assist visitors in embarking on an informative journey and enriching experiences about waste management. They contribute to gaining knowledge about proper practices for dealing with waste and how to minimize its environmental, social, and economic impacts. This reflects MOAN's dedication and combined efforts to improve the quality of life, thereby reinforcing the importance of protecting the environment and achieving its sustainability for a healthy, safe, and sustainable society.
It is worth mentioning that Environmental Week is a national event that enjoys significant support, having been endorsed by a Cabinet decision. The aim is to spread environmental awareness and stimulate individual and collective responsibility to protect the environment and conserve its natural resources. MOAN, playing a pivotal role, focuses on activating all activities and initiatives that promote new sustainability concepts. It aims to transform waste from an environmental burden to an economic value by applying the circular economy principle. This contributes to building a green environment we can enjoy in our present and future.
