The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has issued simplified guidelines to improve customs procedures. The aim is to demystify the system and better inform those involved in the import, export, and transit of goods, enhancing compliance and facilitating trade at the Kingdom's borders.
These guidelines detail the processes for importing, exporting, and transiting goods, including documentation, modifications, pre-clearance, and non-disposal commitments. They also address transit, personal and household item exemptions, commercial sample conditions, and other general rules.
Additionally, ZATCA has provided over 130 educational resources on its website. These cover a range of topics such as zakat, tax, customs services, freight forwarding, shipping, certificate of origin issuance, express shipments, road service registration, deposit area guidance, electronic traveler declarations, customs card printing, land port truck appointments, and customs brokerage regulations. These resources aim to help users effectively navigate ZATCA's services.
