Hotels in Makkah and Madinah Prepare for Ramadan Pilgrimages
As millions prepare to visit the holy cities, hotels enhance services to accommodate pilgrims during the holy month.
With Ramadan approaching, hotels in Makkah and Madinah are preparing to receive millions of pilgrims by adorning their establishments with decorations and introducing tailored services aimed at enriching the spiritual experience.
Mohammed Haris, a pilgrim from India, emphasized the unique atmosphere during Ramadan in Saudi Arabia and the visible improvements in hotels over the years.
He noted that proximity to holy sites is a priority for guests who want to immerse themselves in prayer and spirituality.
Among the hotels preparing for the influx of pilgrims, Elaf Al Taqwa Hotel in Madinah has announced enhancements to its services, including the playing of dua recitations throughout the premises, daily azan calls, and a curated menu for both iftar and sahoor that combines traditional Saudi and international dishes.
Hussain Rauff, the hotel’s general manager, stated that their aim is to foster a spiritually uplifting environment where guests feel comfortable and connected to the essence of Ramadan.
Additionally, the hotel will feature a Ramadan bazaar, offering items such as Islamic books, prayer mats, and handcrafted souvenirs, which allow pilgrims to take home meaningful mementos of their journey.
To encourage a balanced lifestyle, the hotel will keep its gym operational during Ramadan, enabling guests to maintain their well-being alongside their spiritual practices.
The Elaf group of hotels, strategically located in Makkah near the Grand Mosque, is poised to accommodate a significant number of guests.
Hassan Khaleel, the operation regional director for Makkah, remarked that the hotels are dedicated to enhancing the stay of pilgrims, ensuring that they can focus on their spiritual journeys.
One of the newly opened facilities, The Address Jabal Omar Makkah, features a direct walkway to the Grand Mosque and offers cultural experiences through its decor and iftar buffets showcasing traditional Saudi cuisine alongside the holy Zamzam water.
In Madinah, Frontel Al Harithia Hotel emphasizes the importance of sahoor, the pre-dawn meal essential for those fasting during Ramadan.
The hotel aims to cater to the unique needs of its guests during this period.
