Zelensky was stupid enough to miscalculate Putin’s determination to protect Moscow and to retaliate for Zelensky’s own violation of the Minsk agreements—a miscalculation that has cost Ukraine a very painful price. But today at the White House, Zelensky committed an even greater mistake: he attacked, criticized, patronized, and insulted the one person in the world who must never be disrespected—Donald Trump. He insulted Trump in his own home and in public, right before the eyes of the American media. And Trump's reaction to anyone who dares to disrespect him is far more severe than a Russian missile strike on Kyiv, which kills Ukrainian people whom Zelensky clearly doesn't care about.
