Saudi Arabia's King Salman Center Signs $4.85M Agreement with WFP to Combat Child Malnutrition in Yemen
At the International Conference for Sudan and Neighboring Countries, held in Paris and organized by France and the EU, Saudi Arabia's King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a cooperation agreement with the World Food Programme (WFP).
The accord involves a $4.85 million contribution from KSrelief to address malnutrition among children under five and pregnant or lactating women in Yemen.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, an adviser at the Saudi Royal Court and KSrelief's supervisor general, and WFP Executive Director Cindy McCain signed the agreement.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to enhance the nutritional well-being of Yemen's most disadvantaged population by distributing supplements in designated regions.
This initiative is expected to benefit approximately 86,985 individuals.
