UAE's Operation Chivalrous Knight 3: 12-Truck Convoy Delivers 264 Tonnes of Aid to Gaza, Bringing Total to 22,436 Tonnes
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) sent a 12-truck aid convoy into the Gaza Strip on Wednesday through Egypt's Rafah Crossing Point as part of their "Operation Chivalrous Knight 3" project.
The convoy, which contains over 264 tonnes of humanitarian aid such as food, water, and dates, brings the total number of trucks used for support efforts to 440.
Since May 1, 2024, the UAE has provided the Palestinians with 22,436 tonnes of aid, including the use of 220 cargo planes and three cargo ships.
The aid is transported through Al-Arish Port and the Rafah crossing into Gaza.
The "Birds of Goodness" operation, led by the UAE, includes aerial drops of humanitarian supplies to inaccessible areas in Gaza.
As of Wednesday, 43 drops have been made, delivering 3,000 tonnes of food and relief materials.
The UAE's field hospital in Gaza has treated over 18,970 patients, and 152 patients were evacuated to the UAE's Floating Hospital, while 166 were taken to the UAE for further treatment.
The UAE has also set up six desalination plants with a capacity of 1.2 million gallons per day to support the people in Gaza.
