Saudi Arabia’s First Culture House Opens in Dammam
The Libraries Commission inaugurated Saudi Arabia’s first Culture House at Dammam Public Library in the Eastern Province, attended by CEO Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Asim. Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah noted it's a beacon of lifelong learning, promoting creativity across cultural fields. This initiative, part of Saudi Vision 2030, aims to establish 153 public libraries transformed into comprehensive cultural houses by 2030.
The Libraries Commission inaugurated the first Culture House in Saudi Arabia at the Dammam Public Library in the Eastern Province.
The event was attended by Libraries Commission CEO Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Asim.
Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah emphasized that the Culture House stands as a beacon of lifelong learning.
Supervised by the Culture Ministry, this facility is designed to nurture creativity and innovation across various cultural fields.
It aims to develop talents, enhance cultural identity, and support intellectual and cultural development.
The Culture House features diverse libraries for all age groups, technical spaces, theaters, and other facilities to provide an integrated cultural experience.
Launched in June 2020, this initiative to transform public libraries into cultural platforms stems from a developmental plan that aims to establish 153 such libraries by 2030, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
