The Iraqi team took the lead with Mohanad Ali scoring in the 17th minute. However, Marcelinho Ferdinan equalized for the Indonesian squad at the 37th minute mark.
In a thrilling moment just seven minutes into stoppage time at the end of the first half, Osama Rashid netted Iraq's second goal. Ayman Hussein sealed the victory with a third goal in the 75th minute.
The Group 4 matches had kicked off on Sunday, with the Japanese team claiming a 4-2 win over Vietnam.
Looking ahead, Iraq is set to face Japan in the second round, while Vietnam will take on Indonesia on the coming Friday, continuing the competition within the same group.
