Meanwhile, in Yemen, a rights group called the Mothers of Abductees Association accused the Houthis of torturing prisoners at the Central Security prison in Sanaa. This comes amid a crackdown linked to the 62nd anniversary of the 1962 revolution, with dozens of journalists, activists, and politicians abducted across Yemen’s cities.
Turning to Lebanon, Egypt has condemned Israel's military actions, denouncing the killing and wounding of hundreds of Lebanese citizens. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry, along with the Arab League's Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, called for an urgent ceasefire and international intervention to prevent further regional instability.
