Operations Temporarily Suspended at Dubai International Airport Due to Strong Storm
Dubai International Airport announced a temporary suspension of operations for 25 minutes on Tuesday, due to a “severe storm.” The airport confirmed in a statement that operations have since resumed.
In the statement, the airport reported “significant flooding on the roads leading to the airport” and forecasts indicate that the unstable weather conditions are expected to continue until tomorrow morning.
A spokesperson for the airport informed Gulf News that since 12:02 AM local time, 21 international flights and 24 domestic flights have been canceled, in addition to three flights being diverted to other nearby airports.
