Al Khorayef: Saudi Arabia Aims to Become a Key Economic Partner in Tunisia
Saudi Arabia, represented by Minister Bandar Al Khorayef, is keen to strengthen its role as a major economic ally of Tunisia. At the 11th Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee in Tunis, Al Khorayef discussed enhancing trade and investments, particularly through private sector cooperation.
With common cultural and religious bonds, both nations see potential for greater political and economic ties. Al Khorayef thanked Tunisia for supporting Saudi bids to host Expo 2030 and the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
Seven signed agreements across sectors such as industry, tourism, and research showcased their dedication to partnering further. The anticipated Saudi-Tunisian Investment and Partnership Forum, with over 300 Saudi business leaders, was welcomed by Tunisian Minister Sihem Nemsia as a step towards bolstering Arab economic and cultural prosperity.
Nemsia highlighted the forum's role in promoting investment, business growth, and knowledge exchange to boost global value chains and the strengths of both economies. She recognized Saudi Arabia's contributions to Tunisia's development and welcomed their shared commitment to diversify cooperation across economic, social, and cultural sectors.
Both countries celebrate Saudi Arabia's recent successes in winning the Expo 2030 bid and the nomination to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, viewing them as boosters for stronger economic ties and partnerships.
