Envoys appreciate Trump's commitment to establishing peace in the region.
Foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkiye, Qatar, and Egypt have issued a joint statement welcoming US President
Donald Trump's call for Israel to cease its military operations in Gaza and implement an exchange agreement.
The envoys appreciate Trump's commitment to achieving peace in the region and emphasize the need for a sustainable ceasefire to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
They also support Hamas' decision to hand over the administration of Gaza to a transitional Palestinian administrative committee, while calling for immediate negotiations on implementing this proposal.
The ministers affirm their collective commitment to supporting efforts aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza promptly and reaching a comprehensive agreement that guarantees unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
They reiterate their support for preventing displacement of the Palestinian people, protecting civilians, securing the release of hostages, and facilitating the return of the Palestinian Authority to Gaza, as well as working towards unifying the West Bank and Gaza Strip and establishing security measures that will ensure a full Israeli withdrawal and reconstruction of Gaza, ultimately leading to a just peace based on the two-state solution.
