Kuwait Dispatches 16th Relief Aircraft to Aid Palestinians in Gaza
Kuwait's humanitarian airbridge continues to support Palestinians with the dispatch of its 16th plane carrying aid supplies.
LONDON: Kuwait has continued its commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to Palestinians by dispatching its 16th aircraft carrying relief supplies bound for Gaza.
The Air Force plane, which landed at Al-Arish Airport in northern Sinai, Egypt, on Sunday, was laden with 10 tonnes of food supplies provided by the Kuwaiti charity association Khairat.
These supplies consisted of 540 food baskets intended to aid the inhabitants of the region.
The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) coordinated the delivery of these aid materials in collaboration with several Kuwaiti ministries and charities, as well as the Kuwaiti Embassy in Egypt and the Egyptian Red Crescent Society.
This collective effort aims to bring much-needed support to Palestinian families in Gaza.
This marks the second phase of Kuwait's air support efforts, which has successfully transported over 150 tonnes of essential humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, several Kuwaiti nationals who were detained last week by Israeli authorities for their participation in the Global Freedom Flotilla — an initiative aimed at breaking the Israeli blockade on Gaza — are receiving support from Kuwait's Foreign Ministry.
The government is actively working towards securing the release of its citizens and ensuring their safety in Israeli detention.
